Crono
CRONO is a mobile and reconfigurable fast micro-XRF scanner. Based on the EDXRF technique, it has been designed for in-situ, non-destructive and highspeed examination of large objects.
The XRF components are fully integrated into a compact measurement head and allow the detection of elements in the range from Na to U with good efficiency even in the region below 2 keV and above 25 keV (e.g. Sn, Sb, and Ba K-edge emissions).
The measurement head is mounted on a motorized stage that allows for up to 60 cm x 45 cm scanning area. The motorized frame and the support trolley can be easily dismantled for transportation. CRONO can be turned into a portable spot XRF device by installing the measurement head on a light tripod.
The system works in a complete non-contact mode with an optimum focus distance of 5 – 7 mm from the sample. The analysis area is always under control thanks to several monitoring systems.

The S1 TITAN series is designed to quickly and accurately report the elemental analysis of your sample. Whether you need to analyze large machined parts, children’s toys, or small jewelry, the S1 TITAN will deliver fast and accurate results. The ergonomic pistol grip and trigger are designed for all-day use. The color touchscreen LCD is easily seen in all lighting conditions. Weighing in at just 1.5kg (3.3 lbs), the S1 TITAN is among the lightest tube-based XRF analyzers on the market.
Designed as a “point and shoot” analyzer, the S1 TITAN requires minimal setup and operator training. Equipped with both user-level and supervisor-level access, a manager can choose to grant basic operator control or full functionality. This two tier approach and intuitive interface make the S1 TITAN perfect for both beginning users, as well as power users.
Since XRF is a non-destructive technique, it is ideal for analyzing and sorting incoming material, finished goods and in-process production parts. The Bruker ELIO is easy to operate and reveals the crucial secrets of the object you aim at. High value objects are safe with the Bruker ELIO. The non-contact measurement is non-invasive and completely non-destructive. No sample preparation is required.
The light weight of the measurement head and the tripod make this system the only truly portable x-ray fluorescence (pXRF) spectrometer with mapping capabilities on the market and the perfect travel companion.
The alignment lasers identify the measurement point easily and ensure the correct and safe distance between sample and measurement head. High resolution optical images are recorded with an internal camera for each data point in addition to the XRF data.
The Bruker ELIO offers superior spectral quality with extremely low background which allows reliable qualitative trace element detection. The instrument can also be equipped with a He purging system to further extend the range of detectable elements as far as Na (Z = 11) to U (Z = 92). The Bruker ELIO micro-XRF spectrometer detects trace elements reliably thanks to the superior design of the electronics. The spectrometer can be equipped with several X-ray filters to optimize the excitation conditions for specific applications.
A spectrum or a map can be recorded with the ELIO software. The automatic peak ID provides a quick visual indication of elements in a sample. The interface shows the spectrum and the element concentration while the acquisition is running. Data interpretation is easy with the overlay of the optical images and the XRF data.
The powerful data processing software ESPRIT Reveal offers many options for the offline analysis.
